While catching up on the news after wrapping up my “flappy bird” clone project (more on that tomorrow, maybe) I ran across a tool I’d not heard of before.

GNU poke is a new GNU tool intended to manipulate structured binary data.

I think it’d be really useful for dealing with ASN.1.

It is worth watching the author’s talk. His stunt editing is impressive; the amount of time it’d take to do what he does live using any other tool would just be staggering.
